Barr-Nunn Announces OTR Pay Raise

Granger, IA (June 9, 2010) — Barr-Nunn Transportation, a transportation industry leader, is proud to announce an increase in starting pay and current pay for all its Over the Road Company Drivers. This pay raise moves starting pay to $0.40 per mile paid on Practical Miles and moves a large portion of solo drivers to a new pay rate of $0.45 per Practical Mile and $0.47 per Practical Mile for Team Drivers. This raise is effective with all miles paid after July 4, 2010.

We are pleased to provide this pay raise so quickly after our recent two Owner Operator Pay increases and our Northeast Regional fleet pay increase as well.”

Over the road drivers with Barr-Nunn also earn a host of other benefits which include a 401k contribution of $0.01 per Practical mile starting from Day 1, Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance, Appreciation Bonuses every 60,000 paid miles and “Band Pay,” which adds another $0.02 to $0.88 per mile to each trip.

Barr-Nunn Raises Owner Operator Pay Again

Granger IA, 5/14/2010 — Barr-Nunn Transportation, a transportation industry leader is proud to announce a pay raise for all Owner Operators running in all fleets effective 6/4/2010.

Owner Operators in Barr-Nunn's OTR fleet will see a raise of $0.03/mi moving them up to $0.94/mi on Practical miles and $0.01/mi moving other pay rates up to $0.97/mi on Practical miles. This raise in pay comes shortly after the increase to Barr-Nunn's Performance Bonus where all Owner Operators earn a minimum of $800.00 and a maximum of $975.00 every 30,000 paid miles they run.

"Our Owner Operators are an extremely important component of our fleet and we work hard to insure they are earning the most in the industry. Our Pay package has been somewhat of an industry secret so we are hoping with another pay raise that more quality Owner Operators take a look and see just how much they can truly earn at Barr-Nunn”, stated Jeff Blank, Director of Recruiting.

In addition to this pay raise and the recent performance bonus increase, Barr-Nunn Owner Operators also receive 100% of the company’s fuel discounts and earn pay raises of $0.005/mi every 60,000 safe miles.
